Christmas Order Deadlines 2026: When to Order Tees, Hoodies, Caps and Stockings
Christmas Day 2026 falls on Friday 25 December. If you are planning personalised clothing gifts, matching family outfits or a special stocking for a fur baby, the best time to get your idea moving is now.
At Toodle-Loo Textiles, every item is made to order by Toby in our home studio. That means your design receives proper attention, but it also means the production clock starts at a particular point.
Turnaround is counted in working days from design sign-off, not from your first enquiry.
So, when should you order?
The Christmas 2026 deadline guide
Here are the key dates to keep in mind:

These are practical studio deadlines, not dates to leave until the final minute. Shipping and courier time come after the item has been made and packaged, so ordering earlier gives your Christmas plans a much calmer finish.
Our safest recommendation: aim to have your design signed off during the first week of December so your order is made before Christmas.
That is especially important if you need several different sizes, matching family sets, more than five items, detailed artwork or a design that needs a little back-and-forth before it is ready.
Why sign-off matters more than your first message
Found a design idea in November? Brilliant. Sent a message in early December? Also brilliant.
But your order is not yet in production at that stage.
Personalisation orders begin with a message through the Toodle-Loo Textiles contact page. You can share what you need, the item you have in mind, your wording, colours, sizes and any reference artwork.
From there, Toby can confirm the best print method, price and timescale. Nothing is made until the design has been agreed and signed off.
That is when the working-day turnaround begins.
This approach keeps everything clear. You get the chance to check the spelling, placement and overall idea before anything is pressed, and we get the information needed to make your item properly.

Vinyl print: bold, crisp and perfect for simple wording
Custom vinyl: 7 working days from sign-off.
Vinyl is a great choice for names, dates, short messages, party groups and bold graphics. It creates sharp lines, strong colour and a tactile finish that feels like a proper part of the garment.
It is particularly useful for:
- Matching family names

Basic personalised vinyl tees start from £10, while bespoke vinyl tees are £13. Hoodies are £20 for basic vinyl or £22 for bespoke vinyl.
For your order to be made before Christmas, custom vinyl designs should be signed off by Wednesday 16 December 2026 at the latest. Earlier is much better for multi-item orders.

DTF print: full colour and high-detail
DTF, or Direct-to-Film: 3 working days from sign-off.
DTF is the go-to option for vibrant, full-colour artwork, detailed illustrations, photographs and designs with several colours or fine details. The result is bright, durable and made to handle everyday wear.
It works well for:

- Detailed family designs
- Photo-based ideas
- Colourful Christmas artwork
- Custom gifts that need extra visual impact
- Direct to film custom shirts with a more complex finish
DTF tees are £15. Hoodies are £22 for bespoke vinyl or DTF, with large or detailed DTF hoodies at £25.
A standard DTF order can realistically be signed off by Tuesday 22 December 2026 to be made before Christmas. However, that is a very tight seasonal deadline. If your order is large, detailed or includes several items, use Wednesday 16 December as your target instead.

Trucker caps for quick, fun Christmas gifts
Personalised trucker caps make brilliant gifts because they are practical, easy to size and full of personality. They also work beautifully as matching accessories for a family gathering, festive event or group celebration.
Prices are:
- Vinyl trucker caps: £15
- DTF trucker caps: £18
- Bulk orders of 5 or more: from £13 each for vinyl
- Bulk orders of 5 or more: from £16 each for DTF
Bulk pricing is subject to the design, so bring your idea to the contact page and we can help choose the right finish.
For a straightforward cap, DTF may offer the quicker turnaround once the artwork is signed off. For matching sets, groups of more than five or detailed designs, please get in touch during the first week of December.

Hoodies: cosy, useful and worth planning early
A personalised hoodie is one of those gifts people can actually wear long after Christmas. It could feature a name, a meaningful date, a small chest design, a large back print or a full-colour illustration.
Our unique personalised hoodies can be created with:

Because hoodies take more material and detailed designs can require more preparation, we recommend getting your idea in early. Wednesday 16 December 2026 is the last realistic sign-off date for custom vinyl and large or detailed orders.
For a matching family set, do not wait for everyone to decide their sizes at the last possible moment. Send the full list early, even if you are still finalising a small detail.

For the best chance of having one ready before Christmas, get your name and design details in during the first week of December: earlier if you are ordering several.
What can still be rushed, and what cannot?
A straightforward DTF tee or cap may be one of the quicker options once the design is signed off. A simple name in vinyl can also be more focused than a large, detailed artwork project.
However, some things need more breathing room:
- Large or detailed DTF artwork
- Several different garments
- Matching family or group sets
- Bulk trucker cap orders over five
- Designs that need multiple revisions
- Orders that include different print methods
We are a one-person home studio, and every item is made by hand by Toby. That is what gives your order its personal finish, but it also means there is a genuine limit to how many pieces can be made carefully in the final days before Christmas.
A rush may be possible, but it is never something we want to promise before seeing the idea, quantity and deadline.
Remember the £45 free shipping threshold
Free shipping applies to full-price orders over £45. This can be helpful when you are ordering several personalised items together, particularly matching tees, hoodies or caps for a group.
If your order is close to the threshold, it is worth planning the full set together rather than sending separate last-minute requests. We can then look at the complete design, quantities and best print method in one go.
For shipping information beyond the making stage, check the latest guidance from the Post Office Christmas last posting dates. Postal deadlines apply after your finished order has been dispatched, so they are not a replacement for the studio sign-off dates above.
